Hi again! When I started the tractor without the resistor, I didn't let it run for more than 20 seconds or so, so when I tried with 1/2 the voltage going to the coil after installing the resitor it must have just been too weak. It is a brand new 6V coil I got from Mike's Tractor. I plugged the old girl in over night and it started this morning after 15 seconds of cranking, but not till I let off the starter switch. I was going to stop for a second as not to overheat the starter but when I let off it fired right up. Wierd or not? I let it warm up for 5 minutes, shut it off, and then it popped right off when I started it again. Anyway, at least she is running again as we have a blizzard watch out for Thursday and if the 560 goes down I'll still have a back-up snow mover.
