Both the 66 and 86 series were available from the factory with the narrow front bolster. This setup had the steering cylinder in the front bolster like the 06 and 56 series. All of the front wheel drive ones were shipped this way. That 1066 more than likely was a MFWD model and the old American - Coleman MFWD was probably discarded when the owner found out what it would cost to repair it after the seals failed and moisture got into it. I have seen several where the MFWD was removed and either tricycle or 06 wide fronts were installed. The TACO 86's that I've seen were all equipped that way. I have only seen two tractors originally equipped with the tricycle bolster and wide fronts like the 1456. They were both 766 models and one was owned by a canning company.
