Whether or not you can get down pressure on the 3 point depends upon the type you have. Just looking at a saginaw it appears you could put down pressure on it, the one I have on my smta could be used to put down pressure on, it has a 2 way cylinder and by changing one pin you can change from up only to both ways. only trouble is it wouldn't lift very high with it set for both ways. the 350 should be set up to use a 2 way cylinder. the saginaw uses 2 cylinders, one on each side for more lift(more down pressure too) you'd just have to look at the unit and see if it is adjustable for the down pressure.
