E4A Magneto help!!!

Trying to get spark from 10-20 that has sat for the last 10 years. no spark, took cover off that has plug wires on,cleaned inside with alcohol to remove grime. reassembled,turned over,spark for about a dozen rounds. Then no spark, took cover off again and wiped down inside.reassembled,no spark!!I know nothing about mags.HELP!!!
Also, who has a good magneto repair book out??
