Wide front end was an available factory option. Many of the Super C's in my area have it. Round bales are way too heavy to safely handle, you need a lot bigger tractor. Front end loaders are available, but without power steering it steers very hard with a loader. We even take off the front wheel weights when the front blade is on to improve steering. I have heard it is quite common to break spindles with a loader. Farmall 200 and 230 use the same front end. Not positive but I think Farmall 240 uses the same wide front also.
