The C, Super C, 200, and 230 axles were basically the same. The Farmall C and 1951 Super C's had an old style steering arms tie rods and center steering arm. This was changed at approximately serial # 131000 on the Super C. For the 240 the steering arms, center arm, spindles, knee, and hubs were all beefed up and the hubs were designed for bolting on pressed steel wheels (instead of cast wheels). This was carried over in the 404. For the 240 and 404 a full radius rod was used and it connected to the clutch housing. I have seen a 240/404 style adjustable wide front on a late 230. I am not sure if the earlier tractors had the holes in the clutch housing tapped to accept the radius rod.
