We just purchases a 1939 M, ss#5650. Since there were only 6,738 made and it was the first year of production, are there differences that I should know about. Most parts listings are by letter designation. We are trying to get it to start. We are going to go get a new battery and cables tomorrow. I am new to tractors, my husband is use to 9N's (also is a heavy equipment mech.). Does the magnito look like a coil? I have not delt with 6v systems before. She does crank over and it has the voltage regulator mounted onto the generator. Also, does anyone have an idea on how to remove the cement that was poored into the right rear rim. I am afraid to remove it for fear of having to go rent a fork lift to pick it up again!
