power unit again

Guys I looked at the power unit off a baler today that I posted about . I was hoping to find a cub motor but it was a connitental deffently IH power unit had ih mag shortned a hood short a gas tank and oil gauge Why did they use these? Tempted to buy it any ways for 100 dollars its free.
