You might want to go to a 170 or 180 thermostat. To adjust the belt tension you have to turn the threaded hup on the front of the fan pulley. It screws in and out to change the width of the pulley so the belt runs deeper or less deep in the pulley. The hub is locked in place with a set screw that you have to loosen before you can turn the hub. Also likely will need a lot of clean up, as the hub threads tend to get full of rust and crud. I agree with Red, the belt does not have to be very tight. I don't think you will make much difference in the temp by tightening the belt unless it is so loose you can see that it is slipping.
