Jimmy: I have two Super C Farmalls that I have changed over to a 12 volt system. I never had a problem with the starters on either tractor. And didn't expect any, unless you grind the starter for a long period.(Not suppose to do that anyway)
You will need a resister for the coil(ask your local auto parts dealer for a resistor).It would be smart to re-wire the system along with the change over. I always re-wire the system. Just thought this may help you.
