Keith, I am far from an expert, but a similar thing happened to my Dad's Super C. I was riding around to warm up the engine about 3 weeks ago and I crossed some RR tracks and bounced pretty good. From there all the way home it sputtered and coughed. It had always run great before. I suspected a stuck float, but a neigbor who cleaned the carb when we first got it took it apart again. When I came home from work the next day it was running great. He said that he found nothing, but cleaned the whole thing anyway. The dirt must have been tiny, but enough to plug something up. This seems consistent with the other reply. I hope that this is helpful. -- Martin
