Here's something I learned a few years ago, and if I hadn't seen it work about 3 times, I'd never have believed it. On IH 400 series engines with Ambac rotary injection pumps (I think you are in this group) using hydraulic hose as a replacemant for the OEM fuel hose between the final filter and the injection pump will cause a rough running condition. There was an Americal Bosch service bulletin covering this topic, and in the cases I witnessed, replacing the hose with OEM parts cured the symptoms after pump swaps DID NOT. Something about hyd hose not absorbing the pulses generated by the transfer pump. If you don't have a rotary pump or a will fit hose, I can't help.
