John - Oh whatta feeling when it runs good, huh?!! Regarding the running on problem, here's a few suggestions: 1 - Make sure you have the low idle RPM set as slow as possible. If the motor and carb are in good shape it should idle fine at 350 - 375 RPM. 2 - Be sure to push the throttle lever all the way forward before hitting the kill switch. 3 - Replace the spark plugs with one or two heat ranges lower. (But you risk fouling the plugs, etc under extended idle/light load operation with this solution) 4 - Use higher octane fuel (I'm not a big fan of this fix - gas is too #+*^%@ expensive already....) This is how I stop my Super M after a hard pull: Let it idle until the temp gage drops to 180. Then stick the transmission in road gear and release the clutch as I hit the kill switch - the motor stops immediately, every time! Note: A sticking centrifugal advance will have no effect on the motor run on. Soon as you hit the ignition switch there is no longer any spark. Consequently ignition timing (right or wrong) is meaningless and cannot affect running on.
