Well, finally got Dad's '50 M running good. We've gone thru the stuck engine and trans. Runs like new or better now.. BUT.. We hooked her up to the planter the other day, got to the end of the field, and wouldn't pick up the planter. Seems the lift-all just doesn't have it. Assuming it's plumbed ok, shouldn't the oem pressure suffice? Seems I've read on here they originally had 450 psi, and there's a kit to take it up to 750 psi?? Oh, also, it did it twice. The first with the fertilizer boxes full, and again when they were half full. We thought it would have done it. Also, it's just an IH 455 4-row planter. This was a real kick in the pants after all the carb/dirty fuel tank problems we had. Can someone pls give me some info on the upgraded kit and perhaps where to buy? I think it would be the perfect father's day/b-day gift for him..
