I have been tinkering with this for a few days trying to get it PERFECT. Perfect may be impossible, I realize, but I want it close. I have the idle set just right. It will lug around in a sharp turn in 5th gear and not miss a beat. It does not need any choke to start, but it has been very warm. When I advance the fuel, after it is warm, it goes right up to top speed with no misses. So far so good. But when I go down the road and say I am putting along at an idle in 5th gear and then advance the throttle it still speeds right up, but when it gets to the top it lets out just a little puff of not very black smoke, and then goes away and runs like a trooper. Is this normal? I think I may be getting a little to anal about this. Also, I have put a carb kit in it and I have a couple of leaks that I can't seem to stop. I have a very slow drip out of the main fuel adjusting needle and that discharge nozzle screw head. Any suggestions? or do I need to live with it.
