Marvin, I did this about two years ago on mine and yes the front end has to come off. After removal I used a three arm puller with a 1/2" thick backer plate to spread out the force of the puller jaws. Without the backer you stand a good chance of breaking the pulley flange. As far as re-installing, I think I used a long 1/2" NC threaded bolt screwed into the end of the shaft with a couple heavy large washers and a nut to sort of draw the pulley back onto the shaft. Make sure the wheels are chocked good and tractor in gear. Some have reported preheating the pulley in the oven and chilling the shaft. I didn't have to do either. Just make sure that everything is real clean and the keyway is lined up correctly. Others may add different techniques that work just as well. Good luck and be safe//FB
