Thanks for your feedback. I have tried adjusting the carb before with no real changes noted with the miss. I replaced the carb with a new one, thinking I had the culprit identified, all to my surprise it didn't. As far as the points are concerned, I need to go back and check and regap them, but the timing remains steady with no wavering when running at a constant speed. And the centrifugal advance seems to working OK too. The tractor runs great at times when using it in the field, and then starts to miss at any speed when it has become warm or hot. It is strictly a "cool weather" tractor ! Thanks again.
