I'm trying to remove the left side front adjustable axel extension on my '53 CUB, in order to replace it, due to a prior ugly repair. (I have a "new" one to put on it). I've tried soaking it in penetrating oil, hammering all around it to break it free, heat and hammering it, Sledge hammer, Bottle jack pushing against a rod in the spindle hole and the bolster, tried to hammer it forward and/or rearward to possibly twist it out, More sledge hammer, more oil, more heat..... (You get the picture) This thing hasn't even budged! I would appreciate any suggestions, techinques, tricks that has worked in for you in the past. HELLp!
