.020" is too wide for a mag. IIRC, the manual will specify .013". Make sure the points are absolutely clean. Unbolting the mag and reinstalling it could easily have it firing on the exhaust stroke...you want it firing on compression stroke. Your extra oil came from the hydraulic system, through a bad pump seal. I'm still serving my apprenticeship for smart person, but I would strongly suggest a manual. If your loss of power was plug related, this will get you going...good luck.
