Are you getting the spark at the right time??? If you unbolted the mag, you may have got it 180 degrees out of time. I think there are only two lobes on the distributor cam, but of course 4 cylinders. so if you happened to turn it 180 degrees when you put it back on it won't work. Try taking it back off and rotate 180 and put it back. If that's what it is, you are going to get back firing through the intake when you try to start it. It may even blow oil back out of the aircleaner.
