I am having similar problems with my 806 Diesel. I have changed fluid and filter with no improvement. I have other symptoms besides the steering. The oil pressure light flashes and the torque amplifier wont stay engaged in HI or LO range when driving the tractor. I believe the steering system as well as the torque amplifier both receive hydraulic pressure from the MCV, which houses my pump. I noticed the problem this winter when it got cold out. But no improvement since its warmed up out. Now Planning on removing valves from MCV one by one before pulling MCV and getting pump tested. Is there anything else I should be checking first?
