Hi Douglass: Try to contact a county extension agent, or a neighbor. Personnaly, I would set the disk to go as deep as possible and as soon as the ground is dry disk it a couple of times real good. It's important to wait untill it's dry. Then wait untill the weeds start to sprout then disk it again to kill as many weeds as possible. Then seed it to a fast growing cover crop such as oats and your grass seed, then go over it with a harrow or drag. After the oats are mature mow and bale it to get it off the new grass seeding and viola!! There is your hay field. To any up to date famers reading this please jump in here if I am off base. Good luck, Ron Busse
