b farmall front rims

i've got a b farmall that has locks or "wedges" that hold the front rim to the wheel. it's not the usual bolt thru the rim to the wheel. i've never noticed IHC rims like this before. does it indicate a specfic yr or production run or option, or was it a some had it, some did't type of deal? any info appreciated. i'm not up on IHC.
