I totally stand corrected on this -- it DOES have the original serial number plate. I've only had the tractor for about a month now (this is my first Farmall) and am only able to work on it on the weekends. I've been concentracting so much on the engine that the only body work I've done is to remove the engine metal and move the seat back. This afternoon I was under the tractor working on removing the break and cluch pedel springs and noticed for the first time that the sheet metal that should be covering the base of the pedels was bent way back (I originally thought the metal was missing). The metal was bent so far back that the only way you could see it was if you were under the tractor. All I had to do was to look up and there it was -- F.A.A.738. Needless to say I was very excited to find this!!!! This find makes me re-think my plans for this tractor. I still need/want something to till my pumpkins in fall, but this guy might get more attention that I had originally thought. Thanks to everyone for your contributions. Todd
