My 49 M does the same thing but it is only occasional.Kinda lie knock,knock stop knock,knock,knock,etc.Like the other reply Ithought it was the constant mesh gear or a bearing.Iopened her up and the gear was good so I changed every bearing in the thing and it still does it .Been that way for years,so far its still going.A MYSTERY!!!!!?????
