I have a few painting questions as I prepare my Super H for some badly needed paint. First..I am either sandblasting or using a wire wheel to get old paint and rust off. In the event I miss some rust, I was thinking of spraying with a rust inhibitor. Questions... 1. Is there a primer that turns rust to an inert material AND fills in minor pits AND is compatible with either IH red paint or a primer that is compatible with IH paint. 2. Is there another primer / paint combination that will work to inhibit rust, fill in pits, and is compatible with a good quality Farmall red color paint? 3. Is any of the above solutions available in spray cans for painting small parts as I pull them off, sand blast them, and eventually put them back on before the final top coat over the whole tractor? 4. Any other suggestions? My goal if to have a reasonably good looking machine that will last another 50 years. It will be stored inside unless the barn brns down. Thanks guys!! BB
