Recently bought a Cub LoBoy w/mower to mow 5 acres in west central Fla. Ran good until this weekend. Noticed a gear whine last time I mowed. Checked oil in trans/diff (all one unit?)but couldn't see or dipstick any. Put 7 quarts in before it was full. Now have gear oil dripping (pouring) out of right rear axel housing where brake rod goes in. Also oil dripping out of weep hole in bottom of clutch housing. Did I put too much in? How much does it hold? How do you check it? Estimate 2-3 quarts have leaked out. Opened filler plug on top of tranny housing, cannot see oil level again. What gives? Also, do the outer gear housings on the axels share lubricant with trans/diff or are they seperate? Next problem...engine started to miss, lost power, wouldn't rev up. Finally shut off all together. Gas dripping out of connection to breather. Did this once before but stopped dripping and ran fine for a while, when I tapped on carb w/screwdriver. Sticking float? How hard are these carbs to rebuild? Are parts available? Best sources? Any help greatly appreciated.
