Changing the seal isn't rocket science but it is a lot of work. You will need to split the tractor to get to it. If you have a belly pump, remove it and take out the clutch before splitting the tractor. You also need to disconnect the steering, gas line and throttle. You also have to remove the starter and the oil pan. Splitting the tractor means needing to support both ends. Once split you will need to remove the fly wheel. After that you will see the retainer for the seal. It goes a lot easier with some help. Good luck.
