This is aimed at those of you who have experience with F-20s and their Zenith K-5 carburetors. My F-20 is still plagued with the above maledy. It runs rough and never smooths out except perhaps at idle with the rpm down and mag retarded, backfires on occasion, blows black smoke occasionally. I've had the carburetor apart twice, nothing unusual spotted in there, float level is on the money. I've played with the carb mixture adjustments, set it by the book; and set it to where it runs better, but it's never been "right". If I lean out the main too far the black smoke all but disappears but it stumbles under load (in road gear). The economizer is missing from this carburetor - wasn't there when I took it apart. But I know this tractor ran many years without it doing corn picker work. Maybe I'm not seeing something ........ The mag is hot, she starts on the first crank without choking. I'm wondering about that, I should have to choke it, even in warm weather after it has been sitting for a couple days. If I do choke it, even in colder weather, gas runs out the air inlet drain hole. Champion W20 plugs. Help is appreciated from the K-5 experts. Thanks and adios, Dick (IL)

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
