Good point Bob....I have a Farmall C which has been in family since before I was born...I recall growing up it always gave us fits and dad hand cranked most of the time...after he passed on I started to try to get it going again and replaced battery (650 CCA 6 volt), both cables, cleaned starter, starter switch it now cranks like it should every time. The cables are even wal-mart specials, not large guage (I still would recommend a larger guage to be safe). Bottom line....6 volt not as forgiving on bad/dirty components as 12 volt...all need to be in good to excellent cond to be efficient.
