Wayne, I replaced my thermostat in my Super C when I restored it last year. It didn't have any thermostat in it when I got it. The thermostat from the Case IH dealer was about $8 and there is a snap ring that holds it in place that was about $3. The thermostat was just like the thermostat in my car. I could have probably bought one at the local auto parts store for $3 or $4 if I would have known the right diameter..
