Ask if all fluids have been changed and if has ever been rebuit. Ask if there is any water in crankcase oil and ask him to open lower pet cock on oil pan to check. 12 volt or 6volt? Look if you can in radiator to see if water passages are plugged with rust and debris. Check tires for bad cracks wear and determine there life span. Now for fluid leaks, Check radiator front and back, check upper bolster,if it leaks there will be oil on the outside where crank arm sticks out, look underneath tractor to see if there is any crankcase or transmission oil and ask about these leaks. Now start the tractor and see if it smokes and for any noises coming from motor . Check PTO operation and ask if it has live hydraulics, if it does it will have a pump next to distributor. Ask if it has power steering,it is possible it has been added on. Thats all I can think of for now GOOD LUCK !
