I bought a Farmall M at a farm machinery sale last fall and I thought it would be easy to fix up.It had 3 leaks from gear oil espesially a real bad leak in the power take off unit.I paid 900 dollars for it at the sale and have already spent 400 on it since and at this time i'm having the rear seal put in the power take off unit. The tractor had been sitting a long time and the leaks wasn't showing when I bought it.It runs good with good power, had good tires on it and as soon aas I get it from leaking,I 'm going to paint it.The metal is good but does not have power steering. If you buy one be sure to buy one with power steering,if you dont ,it will work you to death. also ,mine will jump out of high gear, but I'm not going to use high gear anyway.Iwould know more what to look for if I were buying again---GOOD LUCK--AL BANE
