Was it originally l.p? I believe there should be a letter on the serial # in the prefix that would designate what fuel the tractor was on originally. Or, maybe your tank was changed at one time. I have a Super M on l.p. and the bonnet over the valves face the operator station. I also have a 400 on l.p. and the bonnet faces the left side of the tractor. I don't know if I have helped or not but good luck.
