One comment. Hooking to the L terminal of the regulator is the same as hooking to the Battery line that goes to the ammeter. If the regulator is mounted on the generator, you don't have to run a separate line from the L terminal to your lights. You can just hook directly to the battery wire. Like Bob says, you don't need the ignition part if you have a magneto. You just need a switch to ground the magneto when you want to stop the tractor. The wire to that switch hooks to the terminal on the side of the magneto.
