806 starts then quits

Hi, My neighbor has an 806 with a Roosa Master injection pump. It died on him and would start but then would die again in about 30 seconds to a minute. It slowly dies like it is being starved for fuel. He changed the filters to no avail. I have checked fuel to the pump, and have loosened a couple of injector lines and they are getting fuel. Any ideas? Is it possible to clean the injector pump without too much difficulty or special tools. Apparently the pump was overhauled only about two years ago.
