I'm restoring my grandfather's 1947 A. It was pretty complete when I started working on it, so I really didn't put much thought into any missing parts. Well about 4 months ago a friend who bought a peice of land from my grandfather that had an old shed on it told me I had better get over there and get the plows and rake out before it fell over. Yeah, a set of plows for the A, hardly used, still has the IH decals on them, and a old horse drawn rake in really good condition (not to mention a set of wonderful wagon wheels for an old hay wagon we have). So all of a sudden I had plows. I was nosing around in our shop a few weeks ago and happend on a PTO cover, again this had the orignal warning decal on it (my grandfater never cared much for safty shelds). Now just yesterday I was putting my boat in the shop, turned and hit a peice of carbord, and what did I find, the missing battery cover for the box, and not a dent in it. And that's only the stuff for the A! I also found a spare tool box for an A or B (the type that goes under the seat), parts for our IH hay rake/tedder, parts for our IH 4' tandom disks, and all kinds of old IH/Farmall boxes (some with replacement parts in them, and some with the old parts in them). I also happend on a set of front wheels for a 9n with tires (in really good condition). Any way, I think finding stuff has been just as fun as the restoration so far... Matt

If i said that this was a little frustrating for him that would be "conservative" in fact the problem had reduce
