There have been some past posts about checking the amount of fuel in the carb by attaching a barb and clear plastic tubing to the drain hole. If you raise the end of the tubing up, the fuel will rise to the leval in the float bowl. If you run it that way, you will be able to see if you are running out of fuel in the carb and at least rule that out. I know I haven't been too clear.
