Farmall B - a real stumper

Well- I spent all day at my neighbors trying to fix his Farmall B and I thought it would be easy. It starts and runs fine for about 5-10 minutes then sputters and will kill unless the throttle is rolled back. Choking it seems to help keep it running also. If it sits a few minutes it will run fine again for about 5 min. Here is what we did and still no better:

switched carburators
checked the gas lines and gas flows fine
new points, condenser, coil, plugs

Baffled - could it be the valves or intake manifold that acts up when hot?
