I converted my H to an alternator,12V, and negative ground. It was really simple. I used an alternator that sounds similar to the one your talking about. As far as the magneto goes your not changing anything. The only wire that goes to the magneto is a ground wire that gets connected to ground by your kill switch. I hooked the alternator to the light switch which was unused on my tractor due to it not having any lights anymore and no charging system prior to my putting on the alternator. memory fails me at this time as to how to hook up the 3 wire plug but the 4th wire is a post to hook up the hot wire to the battery the post should be about 1/4" if your alternator is the same as mine. As far as converting to a negative ground you just switch the ground wire to the negative battery post. The starter will turn the right way. When useing the starter don't crank for more than a few seconds or you risk burning up the 6 volt starter. I did post a explaination of the other wires a few months ago. Email me at the above link if you can't find the right way to hook up the 3 wire plug. I'll have to researh how I hooked up mine.

He owned a small sawmill for sawing "baccer" sticks. The Super A was the powerplant. When I was old enough (7 or 8), I would get up early and be dressed to
