Richard: I have the same manifold as you and all connections work just fine with the stock carburetor, although the flange seems large for the carb. You might have to loosen the governor shaft housing at the gov. (stamped steel flange w/2 screws in it) to align with the carb. after installation. e-mail with any further questions. Deano
