There is a coupling in the main drive shaft between the clutch and the tranny. You can see it though the small hole at the bottom of the back of the torgue tube where the clutch operating rod goes in. Take a look up in there to see if all is still together. If the engine runs the clutch feels normal and that coupling is still ok. then I guess you are into the tranny. Also take a look up in the access hole at the front of the bell housing to see what you can see.
