Super-A left side axel

While tinkering with my Super-A last weekend I noticed some looseness in the axel of the left side final drive. I can "shake" the tractor back and forth from the back and I can feel and see a little slack in the axel/bearings. I can see a little movement at the seed plate drive too. I'm guessing I need to tear it all down and replace all the bearings, races, bushings, seals, etc. Has anybody been there, seen that, done it that can drop a few pointers or suggestions?
