As far as buying them and storing them for a time span and then selling them to try and make a buck I would say generally would be a bad investment. Tractor collecting is primarily a hobby for most people. There are a few people that go after the rare specimens that have a collection that is worth a fortune but only becuase they are rare specimens. The average old farm tractor generally don't fit into that catagory. I have several old IH tractors and have some sort of use for each one, except one. If I didn't have a use for them I would probably reduce my collection to just one tractor and it would probably be the one I don't use now. I think alot of tractor people would say just about the same thing. If you are looking at it as an investment I would think you would be able to do better someplace else with your money. Antique tractoring is like alot of other things, it kind of has to be in your blood.
