Dick: I seem to remember your earlier post but not the details. Low oil pressure?? That can be from several areas. Rod bearings have less surface than all the mains so there can be a big loss from the mains. A weak oil pump? An oil pressure guage that is no longer reading correctly.(I had that happen just a couple months ago) You can do a lot of checking on the crank BEFOR taking it out. Have someone "mike" the rod journals. Try using plasticgauge on the mains in 3 or 4 places per bearing to check for "out-of-round" mains. Does the bearing surface look chewed up? Or is there wear only part way around indicating out of round problem? I don't mean to prevent you from a complete job but rather just a few ways to check BEFOR all the work and expense. Skip these suggestions if your mind is set for taking it apart. Either way, good luck. ralph
