Yes, it would be a '39. That is a low number for a B since they started at 501 for A's & B's combined. There are a lot of parts around for B's, but you will have to be careful when you look for them since an early one like yours will have some differences from later models. '39's & '40's use different hood fasteners for instance. On an early model like yours the engine and tractor serial numbers are the same, which is not true later in the model run. I suggest that you get a parts manual and an owners manual to start off with. If you have problems or questions just ask. There are a lot of us on this forum that own and use these small Farmalls. They are a fun tractor to operate and usually not too difficult to work on.
