IH used to make a drawbar plate to use with heavy tongue loads because the swinging hitch would bend under heavy loads. The plate was triangular in shape and patterened to bolt to any of the outer holes in the several grouped three hole layouts in the "U" shaped stationary drawbar(000 000 000)etc. ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ The plates came in two different sizes, one with the single pull hole about 6 inches from the attatching two holes and one with the pull hole about 10 inches or a foot back, but you could make one any way you want with 3/4 inch plate and a cutting torch. The plates would fit the two drilled and tapped holes in the front wheel post so it could make a nice front drawbar to push wagons or whatever around with too. (0 0) ^ ^
