Well, I'm 7 months into the "part-time" restore / rebuild of my Super A. The head's been re-ground and looks good, but there was a bit of a knock when turning the hand crank. Dropped the pan and removed the pistons, appears that someone placed a copper "schim" between the bushing and the journey of piston number 4. The journey has been reduced enough to produce a slight but noticable knock. My resident "ole' timer" farmer friend suggest I have a machine shop "braize" (or something) metal onto journey # 4 and then polish it etc to original size and state, that this places my $200 right into the "soul" of the tractor. My resident (new) farmall restoration "expert" suggest I have the journey ground down to ensure roundness and get an oversized bushing. O.K. experts, let me have it... Thanks, Scott
