Bob, I did the thing throught the hole on the alt and it didn't start to charge. I checked the dummy light and it was not working.Put a new light in the line and it works. Still will not charge. Took the alt to the auto parts store and it test out just fine. Checked for continuity in all my wireing and it seemed OK.My tractor has a magneto and has a key switch that serves only as a kill switch. I have a push pull switch that I pull out and starts the alt. to charging when it is all working right. I checked this switch for continuity. When it is not wired in it has continuity when pulled out and not when pushed in. When I checked it wired up it has continuity when pulled out and when pushed in it drops 50% but still shows continuity. Is it a bad switch? With airline prices down I'm tempted to fly you down here to MO to look at it.The weather has been sunny and mid 70's. If you don't have the time for a trip can you put on your thinking cap and give me an opinion. Thanks Bob, Paul Forgot to mention dummy light lit while tractor is running and switch pulled out.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
