is there a problem with the thermosiphon cooling? do you understand that the coolant in the system dosen't move until there is a difference between the temprature of the coolant in the block and the temprature of the coolant in the radiator. the greater the difference, the faster the coolant moves. mechanical thermostats weren't needed until water pumps were added. water pumps weren't added until horsepower (and heat btu's)exceded the origional design of the cooling system. adding a pump was cheaper than redisigning the whole tractor. sorry i've gone way out on a tangent here. why do you need a pump? are you adding a lot of horsepower?
